EMDR Therapy

A Path to Healing from Trauma

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that can help you heal from trauma, anxiety, and other overwhelming life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR focuses on helping the brain reprocess and integrate difficult memories so they no longer trigger emotional distress.

During an EMDR session, I will guide you through a structured process using bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds, while you recall specific memories. This stimulation helps your brain make new connections and integrate the memory in a way that feels more resolved and less emotionally charged.

EMDR is particularly effective for:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Depression

  • Grief and loss

  • Phobias

  • Childhood trauma and abuse

This approach is based on the understanding that the brain has a natural ability to heal—just like the body does. EMDR helps unlock that healing process when trauma gets in the way.

I completed EMDR training in 2021 and have been pursuing certification ever since. I’ve seen its profound impact in my clients’ lives—and in my own. EMDR can create deep, lasting change by addressing the root of emotional pain in a way that traditional talk therapy often can’t. If you're curious about whether EMDR might be a good fit for you, I’d be honored to explore that with you.
